ST. PETER’S BOYS HIGH SCHOOL BELIEF STATEMENTS

We believe that:

  • Every individual, created in the image of God, has inherent dignity and worth;
  • Effective education should develop the whole person, spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically;
  • Education is a shared responsibility involving school administration, faculty, students, parents and the community;
  • The faculty should follow the teaching principles and discipline established by St. John Baptist de la Salle and exemplify the Lasallian spirit in their interaction with each other and the student body;
  • All students have the right to a secure and affirmative learning environment;
  • All students are to be encouraged and motivated to develop their individual talents;
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities is vital for the development of a well-rounded member of our school community;
  • All members of our school community, including staff, students and parents, are to be treated with respect both to their person and to their property;
  • All students should participate in activities that help meet the needs of our local community;
  • Engagement with individuals and groups from diverse cultures will prepare students to meet the challenges present in the broader global community.
