Chess
The game of chess has a history that spans 1,500 years, springing from a predecessor in the sixth century. This challenging game develops all aspects of critical thinking: knowledge, comprehension, analysis and evaluation. The player develops foresight, visualization skills, problem solving and concentration, all while having fun. St. Peter’s Chess Club meets weekly after school and welcomes learners and players of every skill level for friendly competition.
