The Latest Updates (November 2025)
St. Peter’s has always been a place where students learn by doing, where real-world experience, hands-on discovery and character-building programs shape confident young men. The next phase of our campus expansion builds directly on that foundation, creating spaces designed to prepare students for success in a changing world.
The Academic Component of the Project
The centerpiece of this investment is ~2,800 square feet of additional lab and classroom space, located on the ground floor at the front of the main building. This expansion will also create a veranda of similar size overlooking the football field — a functional, multipurpose space that enhances both academics and student life.
To fill this new space with purpose, St. Peter’s is expanding academic and extracurricular programs that help students build real-world skills through hands-on, experiential coursework. These programs include:
- Multimedia, Social Media and Marketing Center
Our students produce great content through their participation in community service, school events and sports. This program would enable the students to curate this material into social media and marketing for the school to prospective students, alumni and the community at large.
The broadcasting studio will feature alumni podcasts, as well as broadcast news and sporting events — a powerful bridge between past and present, providing students with experience in storytelling, production, and digital communication.
- Artificial Intelligence Technology
The advent and rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are expected to drive increased career opportunities in building and operating AI data centers across the country. This program introduces students to one of the fastest-growing fields in the world, helping them build foundational knowledge that can translate into future study or careers.
- Career and Technical Education
This coursework hones construction, electrical and HVAC skills in support of general construction and AI data centers. St. Peter’s goal would be to expose students to careers in these construction fields. These pathways provide practical, employable skills and reflect the growing demand for technically trained professionals nationwide.
- Performing Arts
New performing arts spaces will drastically enhance how our students, school and community experience and develop artistic talent.
Band – St. Peter’s Band, started in 2010, would move from its current cramped space into a new acoustic “friendly” space.
Drama – St. Peter’s award-winning drama program performs a play each spring. The drama program currently uses the cafeteria for practice, and the new performing arts facilities will enhance this program for students.
- Sea Cadet Program
An official Youth Program of the US Navy & Coast Guard for HS Students, this program continues to grow and thrive, helping students build leadership skills, discipline and a sense of service. With expanded facilities, more students will have access to the opportunities this unique program provides.
St. Peter’s Practice Field
With the support of our generous alumni and donors across the STP family, St. Peter’s will build a 40-yard x 40-yard practice field on the site of the former brothers’ house. The practice field will alleviate practice time constraints on the football, soccer, baseball and lacrosse teams.
Additionally, the main field can generate extra revenue through field rentals. This new dedicated space strengthens our athletics program while helping to sustain the school in the long term.
