22 Apr Class Notes for Class of 1958
Sal DiBianca (’58) and Tony Madalone (’58) keep the music alive
Sal DiBianca (β58) and Tony Madalone (β58), were members of βThe Keynotes,β a 5-piece band that enjoyed considerable success playing weddings, dinner dances, and other social functions on Staten Island and in the greater tri-state area for 26 years. Over time, band members had to move for various reasons. However, Tony and Sal, continue to perform together a number of times each year. During Summer 2017, Sal and Tony opened the Warren (NJ) Township Summer Concert Series for the third year in a row with their βFabulous Fiftiesβ show. The concert was sponsored by the Warren Township Recreation Dept. and the Knights of Columbus of Our Lady of the Mount RC Church. With Sal on guitar and Tony on keyboard, the duo played and sang the music of the β50s and early β60s to several hundred people. These two St. Peterβs alumni hope to βrock onβ for years to come.
